Fabulous Comfort

well, ladies, i am sorry yet again for not keeping up with my posting. to try and keep this short i will explain just a bit. i have had a long year full of neck pain and doctor's visits, more back pain and lots more doctor's visits. i guess having two kiddos right in a row will do that to a body :) and so on wednesday i had treatment called prolotherapy done on my neck to try to stimulate healing in my weak and torn ligaments. that itself went well--yay! but i reacted to some other medication which caused 3 days of migraine headache pain that was so unbearable i didn't eat or leave my bed for much anything. i have slowly recovered from that incident but i definitely don't feel back to normal just yet. my poor kids (and husband) have to deal with a dizzy and aching mama for at least one more day. i would however like to spend my sluggish hours wearing these kimono robes by Plum Pretty Sugar. gorgeous and most importantly they look fabulously comfortable! (and not a bad idea to snag a couple of these for your lovely best girls who help make your wedding day so fun!) but i will need up to 8-10 treatments to really fix the damage in my neck. prayerfully, i will not need to take the medication that has caused all this extra pain! yuck! but thank you to all of you who so faithfully read Weddings Fresh, and i have noticed a lot of newbies, which i love!! i just wanted to let you all know i'm still here, i just may take a couple days here and there to recoup after each treatment...

Photo Booth: Katie Anderson Photography

last saturday i threw my husband a surprise party for his big 30th birthday. it took a lot of coordination, phone calls "in code" and some sneaky maneuvering in order to make sure he didn't know what was coming, but well worth it! he was so surprised and extremely excited that we all celebrating him reaching "old-man-hood". ha! just kidding! i can only say that because i'm not 30 yet, and then it won't be funny :)

to make the party even more memorable, my sweet friend Katie and her husband, Greg, from Katie Anderson Photography offered to come by and set-up one of her new specialties: a photo booth! oh, so fun!! i wish i could have had one of these at my wedding--it's the perfect setting for guests to just relax and be a little goofy, and a creative and fun way to capture all the wonderful people in your life who you love!

so in the picture above you see me hubbie, tyler, my beautiful niece, karli, and me. technically there were "NO KIDS ALLOWED" at this party, but she had to stop by and see her aunt "D", so i okay-ed it :) my kiddos were home sick with my parents. i wish we could have had some photos of them too. if you want to see more of this little get-together and more of what the talented Katie Anderson can do, check her out here!

Pre-Fall Oscar

good morning! oh my it's freezing outside--actually, it's below freezing, 14 degrees fahrenheit to be exact!!! it's so cold i dread loading my little boys into the car in fear of fierce winds attacking our exposed cheeks and noses! to warm me up i thought i would post my favorites from Oscar de la Renta's pre-fall collection--the canary yellows and shades of pink and ruby are just what i need on this cold day--Oscar was quoted as saying "you have to make a woman fall in love with your clothes". well Oscar, you have. especially the full-length black silk faille gown with the dramatic left shoulder. it was made for me!

tomorrow we will be welcoming our very own fashion expert Amy-Jo from Bride Chic to give us the up and coming bridal gown trends for 2010!!! so excited to see what she has to report!!
